About KS2 Music
Our KS2 Music section turns key ideas into short, engaging activities for pupils aged 7–11. Each quiz has 10 multiple-choice questions with instant feedback, so learners can build knowledge of rhythm, melody, tempo, dynamics, texture and form while developing listening vocabulary and confidence.
Use the quizzes little and often to reinforce classroom learning at home. Start with the building blocks in Musical Elements, explore families of instruments in Instruments, learn key language in Musical Terms and think about performance skills in Performing Music.
Quizzes work on desktop, tablet or mobile, making them ideal for homework and quick revision sessions. Replaying a quiz after a day or two strengthens recall and helps children apply concepts such as time signatures, notation symbols and expressive markings.
See the official Government guidance: Music programmes of study: key stages 1 and 2.
