About KS2 History
KS2 History on Education Quizzes brings the past to life through short, fun quizzes. Each quiz contains 10 carefully written questions with hints to help children in Years 3–6 build confidence and deepen understanding. Topics cover ancient civilisations, significant events and people, timelines, and how we use evidence to learn about history.
Popular starting points include daily life in Ancient Egypt – Everyday Life, causes and consequences of World War II, the achievements of Ancient Greece, and the legacy of the Romans in Britain. Quizzes can be replayed to reinforce knowledge, strengthen vocabulary and make revision feel manageable.
All content follows the KS2 National Curriculum and is ideal for both home learning and classroom support. Regular practice encourages retrieval, develops historical thinking, and makes it easier for children to remember key facts over time.
See the official Government guidance: History programmes of study: key stages 1 and 2.
